Refund Policy

Plag Detect sells digital credits (“slots”) that can be redeemed instantly to run plagiarism and AI-content scans. We want you to be confident in your purchase, so the following refund rules apply.

1. 14-Day Refund Guarantee

You may request a refund within 14 days of your purchase for any unused slot credits, for any reason. No justification is required — if the product isn’t right for you, contact us within 14 days and we’ll refund the value of the credits that have not yet been redeemed.

Credits that have already been used to run a scan are considered consumed and are not refundable, as the service has already been performed.

2. Additional Situations Where We Issue Refunds

In addition to the 14-day guarantee above, we will also refund a purchase in the following cases, even outside the 14-day window:

• Duplicate or accidental charge — you were charged more than once for the same order.
• Non-delivery — payment cleared but no slot credits were added to your account within 24 hours and we are unable to deliver them.
• Unauthorized payment — the payment was made without the cardholder’s consent (we may require evidence).
• Mandatory consumer law — where local consumer-protection law in your country gives you a refund right that goes beyond this policy.

3. How to Request a Refund

Email support@plagdetect.org within 14 days of the charge, including:

• The email address used to purchase.
• The order ID from the receipt.
• A short note confirming you’d like a refund (no detailed reason required).

We aim to respond within two business days.

4. How Refunds Are Paid

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method by our Merchant of Record. It typically takes 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card network.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a chargeback — most issues can be resolved faster by email. Once a chargeback is opened, your account may be suspended pending the outcome.
